A step-by-step guide to installing the app on your phone and playing your first round without a hitch.
Note: the app's own screens are in Portuguese only. This guide is in English, but the buttons and labels you'll actually see are shown in Portuguese below — we translate each one as it comes up.
Caddie Stakes Golf isn't in an app store — it installs straight from the link below, like a shortcut. Once that's done, it works just like any other app on your home screen.
The first time, you'll need to create an account with an email and password. After that, the app remembers you.
This is the screen you land on right after signing in. The gold button in the middle is the important one — every round starts there.
This is where you set up the game: pick the course, who's playing, and the wager format. If you've played with these people before, their names pop up on their own — just tap to fill them in.
There are three ways to enter scores in the app. Use whichever is easiest for you — they all lead to the same place. The round is saved on your phone with every score: if the app closes mid-round, just open it again and tap "Continuar rodada" ("Resume round").
A new hole already shows the par number in gray — tap it and the score is set to par right away, no need to tap + or − first. Then just adjust with the buttons, or tap the number and type a value directly.
A grid with all 18 holes on one screen. Tap a hole's box and type the number directly. Faster if you already know the scores by heart.
Take a photo of the hand-filled paper scorecard. The app reads the numbers on its own — you just confirm or correct them before saving.
After the last hole, the app settles the numbers on its own and shows, front and center, how much each player actually won or lost — that's the figure that decides the day's wager.
Every saved round stays on record. You can look back at any past game, see who's ahead overall, or check your personal track record against a specific player.
In your Profile (the 👤 icon in the bottom menu) you set how you appear on the card, connect your playing partners, and save your PIX key to get paid (PIX is Brazil's instant-payment system).
Depends on your group. Nassau is the classic with auto-press; Match Play is the same without the press; Catraca is a sped-up Nassau; Medal rewards the lowest stroke total; Skins pays hole by hole; Stableford counts points; and Sindicato (3 or 4 players) hands out points on every hole and pays a pot by final standing. See worked examples of each in the formats guide.
On the sign-in screen, tap "Esqueci minha senha" ("Forgot my password") and enter your email to get a reset link. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes (check spam), contact support with the 🐞 button and we'll reset it for you.
No. Every score you enter is saved on your phone. Open the app again and tap "Continuar rodada" ("Resume round") on the home screen — everything comes back as it was. It just has to be the same phone the round started on.
You're not connected yet. In your Profile, tap "Convidar amigo pelo WhatsApp" and send them the link — once they tap it and sign in, the ✓ shows up.
No. Every score can be corrected at any time, even after it's been entered — just tap the number again and change it.
That happens sometimes, especially with tight handwriting. The review screen always shows the numbers before saving — fix whatever you need right there.
No — once installed (Step 1), the icon stays on your home screen like any other app.
Use the 🐞 (report a problem) button inside the app, or reach out to Caddie Stakes Golf support — anything can be fixed on the spot, even after a round has already been saved.
